The Rabbi

Rabbi Moshe Hauer was the Spiritual Leader of Congregation Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion for over 26 years. He left his position at BJSZ at the end of April 2020 and he began serving as Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union. 

Rabbi Hauer was active in local communal and national leadership in many areas, with an emphasis on education and on social service organizations serving the Jewish community, including charitable services, hospice and domestic and child sexual abuse prevention. 

He was a founding editor of the online journal "Klal Perspectives" and led a leadership training program for rabbis and communal leaders.
